At Wright Gray, we believe our duties to our community go beyond our legal services.
That’s why we participate in activities to provide assistance to those in our community with the greatest needs. Wright Gray is committed to supporting and encouraging our community through giving events and contributions to charitable organizations.
The firm is active in the following service activities
$500 Scholarship for College Students
The legal team at Wright Gray awards $500 to 5 deserving and hard-working recipients to help with college funds and textbook purchases. The scholarship is awarded based on an essay submission, a review of their community service, and their transcripts.
High School Seniors
Wright Gray also chooses 5 high school seniors to “adopt” each year after a review of their profile. Each senior is awarded $500 from the Wright Gray team.
Food Drives
Additionally, the Wright Gray team participates in food drives put on by local churches and nonprofit organizations, such as the 2019 Thanksgiving Turkey Drive at Giving Hope NOLA.
Giveaways
Wright Gray recently partnered with the New Orleans Police Department for a “Christmas Breakfast Toy Giveaway” for New Orleans public elementary school students. The Wright Gray team provided 50 bikes for the giveaway. Students were picked by raffle through the school to receive the bikes. Wright Gray also took part in a local pedestrian bike safety event, during which our team provided helmets and water bottles to participants.
Literacy Programs
Wright Gray is also proud to be the premiere sponsor of Le Sanctuary Book Club’s Le Sanctuary Too virtual summer literacy program! Of the program, Daryl Gray says, “It was a no brainer for our firm to sponsor the book club’s literacy program. We understand that to encourage reading is the primary way of supporting literacy. Reading is the first pillar of literacy.”
