Eric A. Wright

Partner

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Wright graduated from Xavier University in New Orleans and attended Tulane University Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1998. He has extensive experience related to auto and trucking cases, wrongful death cases, and catastrophic injury cases. During his 19 years of litigation, he has recovered millions of dollars for his clients, and his talents haven’t gone unnoticed; in June 2018, Mr. Wright was recognized in the New York Times by Lawyers of Distinction for his significant contributions in personal injury law.

Though law can be a challenging profession, Mr. Wright is fueled by the opportunity to give a voice to the voiceless. Meeting his clients’ needs, both legal and emotional, represents the core of his responsibility, and he uses almost two decades of experience and an intimate understanding of trials to get consistent results.

In his own words, “you have to prepare for the worst to get the absolute best,” and that is how Eric Wright approaches each and every case that he takes on.

Mr. Wright is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, Lawyers of Distinction, the Louisiana Association for Justice, The Federal Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana and in the Louisiana Eastern, Middle and Western Federal District Courts of the United States.

As an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Mr. Wright serves the community and has mentored children, regularly participated in annual school supply giveaways, and contributed to his chapter’s scholarship funds annually gifted to high school seniors pursuing college careers. He is the father of four wonderful daughters and one son. He is also a member of The First Pilgrims Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Eric A. Wright-New York Times Lawyers of Distinction

Eric Wright’s decision to become a lawyer bloomed from injustice. When a family member was wrongly accused of murder, he gained a disturbing and personal view into the legal system’s ability to both harm and help those without power.

Since witnessing that trauma, Mr. Wright vowed to arm himself with the strength of the law.

Though his career has evolved from criminal defense to personal injury law, his work has always been dedicated to the pursuit of justice.

"Mr. Wright has done an amazing job at keeping his promises as it relates to his clients. His devoted dedication to getting my case handled as best as he could, has been life changing. Thank you so much Mr, Wright as well as the staff at Wright Gray Law Firm."
