A native of Arcadia, Louisiana, James received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern University A&M College. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center where he graduated with cum laude honors. While in law school, he received numerous awards, including a CALI Award in Advanced Legal Writing, the Chancellor’s Public Interest Award, and the Peggy Browning Fund Fellowship. After completing law school, James worked as a judicial law clerk at Orleans Parish Civil District Court to the Honorable Judge D. Nicole Sheppard. Before joining Wright Gray Harris, James worked as a personal injury attorney serving clients in the Greater New Orleans Area and North Louisiana. James is admitted to practice in Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Easter District of Louisiana, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
